Hyundai Motor Group said Tuesday it has partnered with the University of Oxford in Britain in establishing a specialized research center dedicated to shaping the group's long-term future vision. The group held an opening ceremony for the Oxford-Hyundai Motor Group Foresight Centre at the university campus to mark the new partnership between the two organizations. The University of Oxford, renowned for its Oxford Scenario Planning Approach, has strong expertise in reshaping industry perspectives and conceiving long-term corporate directions, Hyundai Motor said. According to Hyundai Motor, the newly established institution will explore the group's ability to proactively shape the future and identify critical focus points to address future geopolitical shifts and risks in advance. It will also conduct innovative research to advance progress for humanity and facilitate interdisciplinary conversations between government agencies, academia and industry experts to develop long-term insights into future societal trends.
