Bangkok: Cell Broadcast, a system managed by the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, has issued an urgent warning as conflict erupts in the battle area. The system has requested immediate cooperation to evacuate affected individuals to safer locations, while coordinating with community leaders for shelter arrangements.
According to Thai News Agency, when individuals enter risk zones near the fighting area on the Thai-Cambodian border, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation’s warning system sends emergency messages to all mobile phones. The current conflict is reported at Prasat Ta Muen Thom, Tambon Ta Miang, Phanom Dong Rak District, and Ban Chor K, Tambon Dan, Amphoe Kap Choeng. This situation affects residents in Phanom Dong Rak, Kap Choeng, Sangkha, and Buachet Districts. The department advises the people in these areas to remain in safe locations and contact village headmen, local administrative organizations, and district offices to arrange evacuations to government-designated temporary shelters.
