Bangkok: The curtain is on! The JB League concludes its U12 and U13 tryouts, ready to nurture rising stars for Thai basketball. The Junior Ballers League (JB League) 2026 season's basketball tryouts for age groups 12 and 13, held over two rigorous days (April 25-26, 2026) at Winning Basketball, has concluded successfully.
According to Thai News Agency, the selection process was brimming with energy and a thirst for victory from a large number of young athletes who flocked to compete. The first day focused on measuring individual potential and physical fitness, from basketball control and shooting accuracy to one-on-one skills duels. The second day involved simulating real-world team competitions to test quick thinking, communication, and teamwork under pressure.
The committee selected to scout for promising young players is led by eight top-tier head coaches from Thai basketball. These coaches will be responsible for nurturing and unlocking the potential of the players this season: Coach Nop Attaporn Lertmalaiyaphon, Coach Mam Thanakan Sriboonruang, Coach Nada Ekthanat Tongiw, Coach Boom Nattapat Lertkitrungruang, Coach Joe Parames Wongworakul, Coach Dave Sukhdev Koker, Coach Chopper Jitraphon Toveroj, and Coach Tai Alexander Tai Manoyu.
Pavitra Tasavichai, CEO of Big One Group, the official main sponsor, emphasized the organization's stance, stating, "Big One Group prioritizes building a strong foundation for Thai youth. He also revealed the next steps, stating, 'The intention of the JB League is to elevate the standards of Thai youth basketball to an international level, aiming to produce talented individuals who can develop into national-level athletes.
