Jiraporn Honors Media and Agencies at 92nd Public Relations Department Anniversary

Bangkok: Ms. Jiraporn Sindhuphrai, Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, presided over the “92nd Anniversary of the Public Relations Department” ceremony, presenting awards to exemplary individuals, agencies, media, and benefactors. The event included the presentation of the Exemplary Civil Servant Award, Exemplary Officer Award, and the Outstanding Provincial Public Relations Office Award at the regional level, among others. A total of 18 individuals and several organizations were recognized for their contributions.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Jiraporn congratulated all award recipients, emphasizing that their work reflects the dedication and understanding required in media roles. She highlighted the importance of delivering quality content that benefits the public, as these efforts are funded by taxpayers.

Ms. Jiraporn also praised the NBT channel for its progress in media ratings, moving from 19th to 17th place, and nearing 16th. She emphasized that state media can thrive by understanding their audience and continuously evolving. The Public Relations Department, she assured, remains committed to serving as a trusted media source for the public.

She acknowledged the department’s successful implementation of important legislative changes over the past year, which have enhanced its operations. The cabinet has consistently admired the department’s determination and strength, particularly during field visits. This recognition serves as encouragement for the department to continue driving societal progress towards a democratic and harmonious society.
