Kansinee and Supajee’s Vision to Transform Surat Thani Into a Trade Hub

Surat thani: Bhumjaithai Party intensifies efforts in Surat Thani, with Kansinee and Supajee coordinating efforts to transform the province into a Trade Hub, a center of Asian trade. Ms. Supajee Suthamphan, a campaign assistant for the Bhumjaithai Party, along with Ms. Kansinee Opasrangsan, the party's candidate for Constituency 1 in Surat Thani, campaigned for the party's candidates in all seven constituencies of Surat Thani. They met with residents at Tha Thong Mai Market and Sala Chao Market, amidst a warm welcome. This reflected the local people's expectations for "systematic problem-solving in politics" and the close collaboration between the party and residents. They emphasized a "trustworthy team" and a "systematic approach" rather than just campaigning during election periods. The major goal is to transform Surat Thani into a "Trade Hub" in the Asian region by driving the grassroots economy alongside infrastructure development.

According to Thai News Agency, the Bhumjaithai Party is also promoting a three-pronged economic package: easing burdens, increasing income, and opening up trade. The key points of this public communication outline three main policy pillars: 1. Reducing the cost of living. Proposals include reducing electricity costs to 3 baht per unit and bringing back the "Half-Price Plus" scheme to help support purchasing power and reduce financial pressure on households.

Another significant focus is to increase farmers' income and the local economy by concentrating on "upgrading Samui durian" and stabilizing rubber prices. The goal is to increase the value of key agricultural products in the area, access wider markets, and expand into regional trade networks.

Moreover, the party aims to develop cities and infrastructure for trade, pushing forward the 'double-track railway' and the 'Koh Samui bridge' project to become concrete actions. This will upgrade logistics, travel, goods transportation, and connect the city-island-port-airport economy into a single 'system' to support long-term growth.

Ms. Kansinee clearly articulated her position on economic issues, describing Surat Thani's development from a "tourism and agricultural city" to a "trade and logistics hub" that connects opportunities for local entrepreneurs with the growing Asia-Pacific market. She emphasized that becoming a trade hub is not just empty rhetoric, but must be based on costs that people can afford, genuinely increased income, and infrastructure that facilitates trade.

Meanwhile, Ms. Supajee communicated with the public in a friendly manner, emphasizing the continuity in caring for the area and reflecting on the strong working relationship with Ms. Kansinee as a "partner in thought and action" who will push policies to achieve tangible results. She stressed that she is not just here for the election period and asked for support to move forward with the mission of upgrading the province.

The Bhumjaithai Party candidates stated their unified stance that their work will not stop at the campaign stage, but they are ready to continuously follow up and push forward policies so that the people of Surat Thani "see tangible results in their daily lives," from basic expenses and household income to community business opportunities and future-proofing infrastructure investments.

While Ms. Kansinee requested an opportunity from the public to serve in Parliament in order to seriously work towards the goal of elevating Surat Thani into a regional trade hub.
