Bangkok: Kanwir Sipsang has publicly defended himself following his removal as the secretary-general of the Justice Party. In a Facebook post, Sipsang addressed the allegations surrounding his dismissal, denying claims that he invoked party resolutions in his political activities.
According to Thai News Agency, Sipsang expressed his surprise at the Justice Party’s decision to remove him, highlighting that he was unaware of any party resolutions concerning his actions. He clarified, “The allegation that I invoked the party resolution in making the resolution is untrue.” He emphasized that no such resolution was passed or communicated to him and insisted that his parliamentary vote was independent, following constitutional authority.
Sipsang pointed out that he has been the sole Member of Parliament for the party and had not engaged in discussions with the party executive for an extended period. He noted that his removal appeared to be a surprise both to him and the public, suggesting that if the situation was orchestrated, he was the one caught off guard.
Despite his removal from the party position, Sipsang assured his commitment to his political responsibilities. He stated that the change in his status has neither benefited nor harmed him and reiterated his dedication to serving the people and promoting transparent politics. He pledged to continue his work in Parliament and on the ground, focusing on humanitarian efforts and enhancing Thailand’s international reputation.
Sipsang concluded his statement by thanking citizens for their trust and promising to work diligently to ensure positive outcomes for the country.
