Nakhon Si Thammarat: The Kla Tham Party is gearing up for the upcoming by-election in Nakhon Si Thammarat Constituency 8, showing strong confidence in securing a victory. They are mobilizing significant support for their candidate, Mr. Kongkiat Ketsombat, also known as S.J. O, who is believed to have a solid chance of winning due to his ongoing engagement with the local populace.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chanonpat Naksua, the MP for Songkhla District 4 from the Kla Tham Party, emphasized the readiness of Mr. Kongkiat for the election scheduled on April 27. Mr. Kongkiat has been actively visiting the area, with support from Mr. Phongsak Chakaew, the former chairman of the Surat Thani Provincial Administrative Organization. Mr. Kongkiat’s extensive involvement in local politics has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the community’s issues.
Mr. Chanonpat stated that the party’s decision to field a candidate is not merely a trial in the southern political scene but an effort to increase their representation in parliament. He expressed confidence in their ability to surpass the former incumbent in the by-election. The party is also receiving backing from prominent figures such as Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao, an MP for Phayao District 1, and Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat, the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, who will join the campaign efforts in Nakhon Si Thammarat after the Songkran Festival.
Mr. Chanonpat highlighted the unity within the Kla Tham Party, with all 24 MPs actively supporting Mr. Kongkiat’s campaign. He personally committed to campaigning in the constituency from April 17-27, urging the local community to elect a representative dedicated to safeguarding their interests. The party aims to empower those willing to act decisively and effectively on behalf of the people.
