Nakhon Ratchasima: Korat residents are excited about the municipal elections. The overall situation is smooth and no fraud was found.

According to Thai News Agency, the Nakhon Ratchasima municipal elections are lively, with people gradually exercising their rights, while the Election Commission confirms that the overall situation is still orderly, with no irregularities or behavior suggesting corruption found.

Mr. Surapong Thiphosot, Director of the Nakhon Ratchasima Election Commission, revealed that since the opening of the ballot boxes until now, the overall situation has been smooth. Polling station officials, along with democracy volunteer scouts, have been providing close assistance to the people. Although some stations have a large number of elderly people exercising their rights, everything has gone smoothly.

To prevent and suppress electoral fraud, the EC has coordinated with the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Police to send 10 mobile units to the area for strict surveillance. So far, no unusual incidents have been found.

Nakhon Ratchasima Province has 90 municipal elections, totaling 1,301 polling stations, with a target of no less than 70 percent of voters exercising their rights. The preliminary vote count results are expected to be known by 11:00 p.m. tonight.
