Bangkok: KPI Poll has partnered with Line Today to conduct a public opinion survey on the 2026 general election, aiming to reflect the truth impartially and realistically.
According to Thai News Agency, Associate Professor Dr. Issara Seriwattanawut and Mr. Ek Panyasri, representative of LINE Company (Thailand) Limited, signed an academic cooperation agreement to conduct opinion surveys before the general election and referendum. The King Prajadhipok Institute has launched 'KPI Poll x LINE TODAY' to provide a rational perspective on election decisions. The survey covers topics such as political parties' cash handout policies, the importance of policies of public interest, and factors influencing voting decisions. This initiative aims to reflect the public's in-depth reasoning throughout the election period.
The signing ceremony highlighted the shared commitment of both organizations to promote democratic public participation and disseminate survey results widely. This collaboration marks a new dimension of cooperation between academic institutions and the private sector, creating a link between the public, parliament, and the government. It prioritizes the public interest and avoids political or group-centric use. Furthermore, this agreement represents a crucial starting point for developing a collaborative network, positioning KPI Poll as a reliable policy insight source for various governmental bodies both nationally and internationally.
KPI Poll is designed to reflect political reality with neutrality, factual accuracy, and usefulness, adhering to academic standards. It aims to listen to the people's voice rather than influence politics. The data serves as a knowledge base for politicians, political parties, academics, and the general public to understand public sentiment and expectations, functioning as a democratic think tank for Thai society.
Over the past 20 years, various organizations have conducted numerous polls. However, the credibility of these organizations can decrease if their stance is perceived to waver. The King Prajadhipok Institute is confident that the KPI Poll results will remain reliable and enduring. To ensure credibility, the questions are reviewed by a committee of experts from various universities before being presented to the public, ensuring they are politically relevant.
KPI Poll is not just an election-specific initiative but a center that will continuously conduct polls on public interest issues. The Research and Development Office of the King Prajadhipok Institute stated that, in addition to regular polls, they will include simple questions requiring quick answers to provide preliminary information to the public and decision-makers. Line Today's platform, with over 40 million users, is believed to provide a representative dataset for the institute, which is the basis for this collaboration.
