Bangkok: Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim revealed he held discussions with the leaders of Cambodia and Thailand on Tuesday. Anwar Ibrahim said he engaged in talks with the prime ministers of Thailand and Cambodia to address tensions along their shared border and praised the openness of both leaders to continue dialogue.
According to Thai News Agency, Anwar posted messages on the X and Facebook platforms on Wednesday, noting his appreciation for the willingness of both leaders to engage in dialogue to ease tensions and prevent misunderstandings that could escalate the situation.
Mr. Anwar stated that although no definitive conclusions have been reached, ongoing diplomatic engagement has been instrumental in ensuring that no further serious incidents have occurred during these challenging times.
The Malaysian Prime Minister emphasized that Malaysia will persist in supporting peaceful negotiations, resolving issues based on international law, and strengthening regional cooperation to maintain regional stability and security.
