Bangkok: Mallika Chongbalan has officially announced her candidacy for the Bangkok gubernatorial election, unveiling a comprehensive plan comprising 12 strategic initiatives aimed at addressing the city's urban challenges. Her campaign focuses on urgent issues such as combating PM2.5 air pollution, utilizing artificial intelligence for problem-solving, boosting the economy, resolving flooding, and improving security, with the overarching goal of creating a livable Bangkok around the clock.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Mallika Mahasuk, a candidate for the position of Bangkok Governor, expressed her complete readiness and confidence in her campaign, having meticulously prepared a comprehensive plan detailing all 12 strategies. She emphasized her commitment to begin implementing these plans immediately if elected. High on her agenda is the urgent issue of PM2.5 dust pollution, which she identifies as a critical crisis impacting the quality of life for Bangkok's residents. Her proposed solutions involve leveraging AI and innovative technologies for detection and management of pollution, alongside collaborations with agencies such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to address the issue swiftly and effectively.

Her policies also extend to using AI in traffic management, enhancing drainage systems to mitigate flooding, and revitalizing the economy by supporting SMEs and creating 200,000 to 300,000 jobs for Bangkok's citizens. In terms of safety, Ms. Mallika aspires to transform Bangkok into a 24-hour safe city, with a focus on reducing crime and illicit activities. Her vision includes creative urban development, increasing public spaces across all 50 districts, and upgrading health facilities to improve public services.

Despite the popularity of other candidates in current polls, Dr. Mallika remains optimistic, stating that she welcomes all survey results but believes that public opinion can shift if citizens recognize her genuine intentions and capacity to deliver immediate results. She highlighted her extensive experience working with various ministries and her long-standing visits to all 50 districts as key factors that will enable her to address Bangkok's challenges effectively and efficiently.
