MCOT Celebrates 74th Anniversary with Focus on Sustainable Water Management

Bangkok: MCOT Public Company Limited marked its 74th anniversary with an event themed "MCOT: A Partner to Thai Society." The ceremony included participation from key figures such as Acting Chief Executive Officer Mr. Sommai Suwanwong, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Ms. Suntariya Wongsirikul, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer Mr. Kittipong Khantirat, alongside the board of directors, executives, and staff. Participants paid respects to Luang Pho Dam and Phra Phrom, the sacred deities of MCOT, and engaged in a merit-making ceremony by offering alms to monks from Wat Phra Ram 9 Kanchanaphisek.

The company emphasizes the importance of raising awareness and fostering collaboration across sectors for environmental conservation, with a focus on water resource management. MCOT supports the Utokapat Foundation under the Royal Patronage, applying the royal initiatives of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej in water management strategies to enhance community resilience and promote sustainable natural resource management. The company actively backs the water management plan in the Ban Saladin community within the Mahasawat Subdistrict of the Phutthamonthon District in Nakhon Pathom Province. MCOT encourages governmental and private organizations visiting the anniversary event to contribute to the Utokapat Foundation instead of offering flowers or gifts.
