The Meteorological Department reported that the Northeastern and Upper Northern regions will experience cool weather in the morning with strong winds. People in the upper part of Thailand are asked to take care of their health due to the changing weather. The upper Southern region will continue to experience thunderstorms.

The Meteorological Department forecasts the weather for the next 24 hours. The upper part of Thailand will have little rain, but thunderstorms may still occur in some areas. The northeastern and upper northern regions will have cool weather in the morning with strong winds. People in the upper part of Thailand should take care of their health due to the changing weather conditions. This is because the high-pressure area or moderate cold air mass is covering the upper northern and northeastern regions, while the easterly wind that brings moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf of Thailand to cover the upper part of Thailand is weakening.

For the monsoon trough passing through the u
pper southern region, the southern region will continue to have thunderstorms. In the Andaman Sea, waves will be 1-2 meters high. In the Gulf of Thailand, waves will be approximately 1 meter high. In areas with thunderstorms, waves will be higher than 2 meters. Sailors in the aforementioned areas are advised to sail with caution and avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.

In addition, the severe tropical storm “TRAMI” in the northern Philippines is expected to move into the upper South China Sea today (24 Oct 2024) and will move closer to the southern part of Hainan Island, China and the coast of central Vietnam during 26-28 Oct 2024. Those who plan to travel to the aforementioned areas should check the weather conditions before traveling.

Bangkok and its vicinity will have thunderstorms in 10 percent of the area. Minimum temperature 24-26 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperature 33-35 degrees Celsius.
