Hat yai: Minister Narumon showcases the work of the Fix It Center, which has been operating in Hat Yai, restoring over 12,000 vehicles and electrical equipment, restoring life to the people after the flood crisis.
According to Thai News Agency, Prof. Dr. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Education, revealed the results of the Fix It Center, a community repair center under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC). The center mobilized teachers and vocational students from various institutions to provide urgent assistance to flood victims in Songkhla Province. It offered repair services for electrical appliances, motorcycles, cars, and other occupational equipment damaged by the flooding.
Prof. Dr. Narumon stated that the number of Fix It Center service points has now increased to 53. From November 29 to December 3, 2025, 12,597 people received repair services for cars, motorcycles, electrical appliances, and various occupational tools. Of these, 11,892 have been completed, while another 705 are currently undergoing repairs.
“This achievement demonstrates the potential of Thai vocational education to reach out to the public during a crisis. Teachers and students have dedicated themselves to repairing vehicles and electrical equipment to meet the needs of those affected. The Ministry of Education will fully support the Fix It Center’s mission, providing personnel, equipment, and coordination to ensure that local residents can return to their daily lives and jobs as quickly as possible,” said the Minister of Education.
