Phatthalung: Minister Surasak Panjaroenworakul, Minister of Tourism and Sports, visited the Than Nam Yen hot springs in Khao Chaison District, Phatthalung Province, aiming to promote it as a health tourism destination. He was welcomed by local officials, including Air Force Colonel Dr. Athikun Kongmee, Member of Parliament for Phatthalung Constituency 1, and Mr. Tharawut Chuaykird, Deputy Governor of Phatthalung Province.

According to Thai News Agency, Minister Surasak assessed the potential of the hot springs and expressed his commendation for the Khao Chaisan Subdistrict Administrative Organization's efforts in maintaining the tourist sites. He highlighted the area's capacity to integrate tourism activities, accommodations, and community services, fostering a wellness tourism destination that could enhance local community income.

The Minister emphasized the Ministry's readiness to support the development of both hot and cold springs by upgrading facilities and improving tourist areas. He outlined plans to promote marketing and activities that would stimulate tourism, while also addressing land and infrastructure limitations through integrated cooperation with various sectors. This initiative aims to improve the quality of tourist attractions, build tourist confidence, and sustainably distribute income to the community.

During his visit, Mr. Surasak inspected various facilities, including the main pool, resting pool, full body soaking pool, foot soaking pool, private soaking rooms, and Thai massage services, to evaluate the area's development potential. He urged all agencies to expedite development efforts to achieve tangible results, maximizing benefits for the people and enhancing tourism in Phatthalung province.
