Bangkok: "Trinuch" is urgently investigating the more than 100,000 Cambodian workers stranded in Thailand. Ms. Treenuch Thianthong, the Minister of Labour, is addressing the progress of renewing work permits for these workers, particularly focusing on the security aspects of the situation.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Treenuch has acknowledged the impact on employers, especially in the agricultural sector, but emphasized the necessity of a thorough security review. She has requested security forces to complete their investigation before the Cabinet addresses the matter. The current situation involves workers who are stranded due to border issues, rendering them illegal in Thailand, and repatriation efforts are hindered by security concerns.
