Pharadon Expresses Gratitude to Election Commission for Approval of Flood Relief Funds

Bangkok: "Pharadon" thanked the Election Commission for approving flood relief funds, and expects the money to reach the public this week. Mr. Paradorn Prisnanantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, expressed his appreciation for the commission's decision to approve additional funds to assist citizens affected by floods in the lower northern, central, and southern regions.

According to Thai News Agency, the approved budget will be transferred by the Budget Bureau to the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation today. The relief funds, totaling 2,203 million baht, are expected to be distributed to the public within the week. This financial support aligns with the Cabinet's resolution from January 13th, aimed at assisting those who missed out on previous registration processes for aid. The current funds are a continuation of two prior relief payment rounds.

Mr. Paradorn emphasized the government's commitment to promptly addressing the needs of its citizens. 'I'm glad that from now on, no one will have to wait for this relief money anymore. I want to assure you that the government prioritizes alleviating the suffering of our fellow citizens and is expediting every step to ensure that assistance reaches the people as quickly as possible,' he stated.
