Mintra Indira Honors Somdej Phra Suphankanlaya at Phitsanulok Ceremony

Phitsanulok: The renowned artist Mintra Indira was seen in traditional Thai attire as she paid homage to Somdej Phra Suphankanlaya for the second consecutive year. Mintra held a grand ceremony at Wat Chan Tawan Ok in Phitsanulok Province, offering a sash and jewelry to a replica image of the revered figure. The ceremony, marked by a joyful and refreshing atmosphere, was blessed by rain, which attendees likened to holy water.

According to Thai News Agency, this marked the second year of Mintra’s devoted worship, with the artist expressing her intention to continue the tradition annually. The highlight of the event was the drawing of lucky numbers from fortune sticks, a moment eagerly awaited by the villagers. Representing the community, Mintra drew the numbers 14 and 12, which are now seen as symbols of hope.

Mintra’s choice of attire also drew attention, as she wore a pink lotus petal-shaped Thai Chakri dress, showcasing a different side of her persona. Despite admitting her discomfort in such attire, Mintra expressed her commitment to honoring her mother through the ceremony. She shared her prayers for blessings upon herself and her loved ones, hoping for their continued well-being.
