Bangkok: Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited recently held the 'MTL Volunteer Expo 3rd Edition,' an event designed to engage employees in meaningful volunteer work to spread joy and support throughout the community. The expo provided a platform for employees to dedicate their time and skills to a range of activities aimed at enriching society.

According to Thai News Agency, the event featured a diverse array of activities that allowed participants to choose based on their personal interests. Volunteers engaged in creative tasks such as folding towels into teddy bears, sewing prosthetic breasts, braiding letters, painting ceramic phone stands, and crafting scented flower pots and frangipani keychains from velvet wire. These activities not only fostered creativity but also aimed to deliver tangible benefits to various community groups.

A significant aspect of the event was a donation drive, which encouraged the contribution of items for beneficial use. Participants donated dolls in good condition for children in remote areas and clothing to the Muang Thai Smile Foundation. The foundation plans to sell these items at the "Give Shop: Giving to Change Society" event, with the proceeds directed toward projects supporting the elderly and underprivileged children.

In an effort to promote sustainability, the expo included a collection of used men's and women's underwear for environmentally safe disposal through a closed system. The process generates heat that can be used as a substitute for coal, exemplifying effective waste management and the transformation of waste into valuable resources.

Employees also took part in writing encouraging cards to uplift vulnerable groups within society, ensuring a heartfelt connection from sender to receiver. Additionally, they explored activity booths from partners and the 'MTL Volunteer Exhibition,' which highlighted various stories of volunteerism and social contribution across different sectors.
