Bangkok: The Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA) has joined forces with the Royal Secretariat to His Majesty the King to oversee the ongoing progress of the Khlong Sam Sen development project. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the infrastructure and quality of life for those residing along the canal.
According to Thai News Agency, on December 29, 2025, Air Chief Marshal Sathitpong Sukvimol, Royal Secretary to His Majesty the King, led a delegation that included high-profile officials such as Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance; Mr. Chotinrin Kerdsum, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior; and Mr. Suthep Euaprakorn, Deputy Governor of the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA). The delegation's primary objective was to inspect the ongoing developments at the Sam Sen Canal.
The site visit emphasized the importance of landscape improvements, infrastructure development, water management, and waste management. These efforts are designed to align with His Majesty the King's royal policy, which focuses on the integrated development of water resources and the environment. The policy encourages participation from various sectors to ensure sustainable benefits for the populace. The MWA is currently inspecting and planning the relocation of water pipes along Rama VI Road to support the construction efforts for the project.
