Bangkok: The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) showcased the achievements of graduates from the 17th class of the National Executive Development Program, marking a significant step towards promoting good governance. The event featured the concept of "Utilizing Good Governance: The Foundation from Selection to True Good Governance," emphasizing strategic applications of good governance principles to prevent and combat corruption.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Suchart Trakulkesemsuk, Chairman of the NACC, presided over the awarding ceremony for the "Outstanding Individual Academic Paper Award, 17th Cohort of the Advanced Strategic Management Program in Anti-Corruption." Participants of this program were recognized for their contributions in promoting good governance. The event also included a public seminar and exhibition under the theme "Utilizing Good Governance: From Selection to True Good Governance," aimed at disseminating knowledge and strategic proposals on anti-corruption measures.
The presentation highlighted strategic proposals, research findings, and guidelines for applying good governance principles, focusing on processes ranging from personnel selection within the civil service to organizational management. These proposals were a result of the exchange of knowledge, experience, and perspectives among senior executives from the public sector, state enterprises, and the private sector.
Mr. Surapong Intarathon, Secretary-General of the NACC, mentioned that these recommendations are set to be forwarded to the government. He noted that several recommendations have already been implemented, including proactive law enforcement measures and asset verification linked to government data. The exhibition aims to communicate the NACC's efforts to elevate cooperation with the government to international standards and reduce complaints of government corruption.
The 17th cohort's proposals for Smart NACC aim to transform the National Anti-Corruption Commission into a modern, transparent, and efficient organization by utilizing technology and AI in asset verification and corruption prevention.
