Narathiwat: Nam Prakan organized a special trip to take his father to Narathiwat Province. He was so happy to see the city that his grandfather helped develop with his own eyes.
According to Thai News Agency, popular singer Name Prakan, also known as Name Getsunova, shared his heartfelt sentiments about his recent trip to Narathiwat Province. Two months ago, at his father’s request, Name cleared his schedule to visit Narathiwat, the city where his grandfather, Suriyan Raiva, once lived and served the community. The trip held special significance for Name as it allowed him to witness the city his grandfather had tirelessly worked to develop and to visit Attarkiyya Islamiyah School, the largest school on land donated by his grandfather to support the education of the province’s children.
Name recounted the journey on his Instagram account @nameraiva, expressing his anticipation for the trip. He shared that out of all the provinces in Thailand he had toured with his band Getsunova, Narathiwat was one of the few he had not yet visited. His father had asked him to find a free day to visit a piece of land given to him by his grandfather, Khun Suriyan Raiva, during his childhood. This connection made the trip more meaningful, allowing Name to travel with his father and son, along with their lawyer, P’Ek.
Upon arrival, Name, his father, and P’Ek were warmly welcomed at the airport by kind-hearted elders and treated to local delicacies. They experienced the unique and delicious flavors of crispy roti and volcano roti. Name described Narathiwat as a peaceful and charming province with potential as a major tourist destination in the future. He highly recommended others to visit and experience its warmth and unique scenery.
