Nana Raibeena Arrested: From DJ to Fraud Suspect

Bangkok: Nana Raibeena, a well-known DJ and public figure, was arrested at her Phra Khanong residence on charges related to defrauding the public and violating the Emergency Decree on Fraudulent Loans from the Public B.E. 2527. This arrest followed complaints from 17 victims, mostly close associates and friends, who reported her to the Crime Suppression Division. Nana was subsequently questioned at the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) and taken to the Ratchada Criminal Court for further detention.

According to Thai News Agency, Nana Raibeena, born on December 5, 1980, in Songkhla province, is recognized for her work as a DJ on Hot Wave 91.5 FM and Virgin Hitz. She is married to singer Way Thaitanium and has two children. Alongside her entertainment career, Nana pursued acting and became a professional race car driver, competing in the Thailand Super Series since 2007. She has been an inspiration to women interested in motorsports.

Nana also ventured into various businesses, including a barber shop, a children’s clothing store, and the organization of the YBL Thailand basketball tournament. She is known as the spokesperson for the Nang Fah gang, a group of famous stars. Despite her successful career, Nana’s life took a turn when she was implicated in a financial scandal involving 400 million baht. She admitted to the allegations, resulting in her selling her house to repay debts and stepping down from her role in the basketball tournament.

Yesterday, Nana was arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau on fraud charges. She was questioned and then remanded to court. However, she was granted temporary release on a 1 million baht bail, with a condition prohibiting her from leaving the country.
