Bangkok: Nana Raibeena was remanded in custody at the Criminal Court following a lengthy 10-hour interrogation. Officials reported that she required anti-anxiety medication and requested to call her child. Authorities plan to summon Way Thaitanium for questioning next week.
According to Thai News Agency, officers from the Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECD) transported Nana Raibeena to the Criminal Court on Ratchadaphisek Road for her first detention hearing. She arrived at the court wearing a head covering and hat, shielded from photographers by a female police officer. The previous night, Nana was detained at the Central Investigation Bureau’s Complaint Center, where she underwent an extensive interrogation session that lasted until after midnight.
Police Colonel Nittichot Penjamras, Commander of the ECD, stated that Nana denied all charges and has yet to provide a formal statement, pending further legal advice from her lawyers. During the interrogation, Nana appeared stressed, needing her anti-anxiety medication, and expressed concern for her child, requesting a brief phone call.
Officials plan to summon Way Thaitanium to discuss his potential involvement in investment fraud and pyramid schemes. Key evidence includes a Ledger Nano X hardware wallet found at Nana’s residence, which is under examination for links to fraudulent financial activities.
Investigations into Suan Phueng Kingdom, a camping ground in Ratchaburi Province launched by Nana and her husband Way, revealed the land was leased, contradicting claims of ownership. Despite Nana’s arrest, Way, a member of the band Thaitanium, has remained silent, fueling rumors regarding their marital status. However, lawyer Saiyut clarified that the couple has not divorced, and Way has prepared 2 million baht for Nana’s bail.
For breakfast, Nana was offered garlic chicken with fried egg and rice or basil shrimp with fried egg and rice. The police noted her visible stress during her detention. Nana, charged under Criminal Court arrest warrant No. 7195/2568, is accused of fraud and defrauding the public with loans, with damages reported by 17 victims amounting to 195 million baht. As Nana’s 45th birthday approaches, the court’s decision on her bail remains pending.
