Bangkok: In a heartwarming moment at Klong Prem Central Prison, Mr. Panthongtae Shinawatra and his wife, along with Ms. Pintongta Shinawatra Kunakornwong and her husband, accompanied Mr. Supasek Amornchat, also known as "Pipe," for his first visit to his uncle, former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
According to Thai News Agency, Pipe, who is the only son of former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London. The family was joined by Mr. Winyat Chatmontri, Mr. Thaksin's lawyer, for the visit. The group appeared in high spirits, greeting the media and Red Shirt supporters who had gathered to welcome and support them.
The visit lasted approximately 30 minutes, during which no interviews were given. However, a representative of the Red Shirts expressed admiration for Pipe, commenting on his good looks and expressing how much he was missed. The supporters warmly embraced Mr. Supasek and wished the Shinawatra family a Happy New Year.
