OBEC Organizes Nationwide Tutoring for Mathayom 6 Students Ahead of TCAS69 Exam

Bangkok: OBEC provides intensive tutoring for Mathayom 6 students before the TCAS69 exam, confident in providing care to disaster-affected areas in the South.

According to Thai News Agency, OBEC is conducting intensive tutoring sessions for Mathayom 6 students across the nation in preparation for the upcoming TCAS69 exam. Despite the postponement of the TGAT/TPAT exams due to recent disasters in the South, OBEC assures that the exams will be comprehensively covered. Mr. Pichet Phophakdi, Secretary-General of the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), has disclosed the arrangements for the TGAT and TPAT exams slated for December 13-15, 2025. These exams are critical for Grade 12 students, as their scores are essential for university admissions. In line with Prof. Dr. Narumon Pinyosinwat’s “Good Student, Moral” policy, OBEC is expediting support to reduce educational inequality and broaden free learning opportunities.

To further aid in exam preparations, OBEC is hosting a significant tutoring event, “Knowledge Box for Happiness,” from December 8-9 and 11-12, 2025. Renowned educators nationwide will impart their expertise on subjects covered in the TGAT and TPAT, including pedagogical aptitude, science, engineering, architecture, and medical specialties. The sessions will also focus on enhancing English language skills, critical thinking, and work performance, offering problem-solving techniques to minimize study time and enhance understanding and confidence.

These live sessions will be available on the OBEC Channel through the website, YouTube, and Facebook, enabling schools to integrate the content into regular classes or supplementary activities based on their readiness. Students will have the flexibility to revisit the lessons at their convenience, ensuring widespread accessibility.

In response to flooding in Songkhla, Yala, and Narathiwat provinces, which necessitated the postponement of the TGAT/TPAT exams to January 17-19, 2026, OBEC has confirmed that the tutoring activities will proceed as planned. This ensures that students in affected areas can view recorded sessions without disruption. OBEC has coordinated with local districts and educational institutions to guarantee safe and convenient transportation for over 19,000 test-takers on exam day.

The review and announcement of scores within the TCAS system will adhere to the original timeline, concluding by February 13, 2026, to maintain a seamless and equitable admissions process for students nationwide.
