Kanchanaburi: The opening ceremony of the cafeteria building “Thai Water Pipe 62 Years, Memorial to Mother Nuanphen Phatralaoha” took place at Wat Tha Ruea School “Utsaha Witthayakhan” in Tha Ruea Phra Taen Municipality, Kanchanaburi Province.
According to Thai News Agency, Colonel Dr. Yanyong Phatralaoha, Executive Director of Thai Water Pipe Industry Co., Ltd. and its subsidiaries, presided over the ceremony. The event was also attended by Phrakhru Thaworn Kanchanakit Jittichai, Abbot of Wat Tha Ruea and Dean of Takhram En Subdistrict, along with Mr. Phichet Ritthisiri, the School Director.
The “Thai Water Pipe 62 Years” cafeteria building was constructed with support from Thai Water Pipe Industry Co., Ltd. and its subsidiaries to honor Khun Mae Nuanphen Phatralaoha. The facility includes a dining area and accommodation for foreign volunteer teachers. Before its construction, the school lacked a dedicated cafeteria, using Wat Tha Ruea’s meditation hall for meal preparations and dining. The new cafeteria aims to improve health and hygiene, essential for student learning.
