Operation Targets Unauthorized Loan Network and Car Pawning Scheme

Udon thani: Police in Region 4 have launched a comprehensive operation targeting an illegal money lending ring and unauthorized car pawning network in the Muang Phia Subdistrict, Kut Chap District. The operation, aimed at dismantling influential figures and loan sharks who have been causing public distress, was carried out at two specific locations within the district.

According to Thai News Agency, the operation led to the seizure of a significant number of assets, including six cars and 19 motorcycles, alongside firearms. These assets have been valued at over 1.8 million baht. The authorities have arrested two men, aged 59 and 60, who are believed to be key figures in the illegal operations. The suspects have been taken to the Kut Chap Police Station in Udon Thani Province, where they will face legal proceedings.

This crackdown is part of a broader effort by the police to address the issue of illegal financial operations that burden the community. The authorities are continuing their investigations to ensure the entire network is dismantled and those responsible are brought to justice.
