Nonthaburi: Exceeding its target, OTOP CITY 2025 achieved record-breaking sales of over 868 million baht. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul expressed his delight at the successful outcome, underscoring the power of Thai communities and the achievement of the grassroots economy.
According to Thai News Agency, the event concluded with sales surpassing 868 million baht, marking a more than 20% increase from the previous year. This reinforces the strength of Thai communities and the success of the grassroots economy. OTOP CITY 2025, the country's largest OTOP product fair, was organized by the Ministry of Interior and the Department of Community Development from December 20-28, 2025.
Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, along with Ms. Thanon Nirami, Chairperson of the Cabinet Spouses Association and Honorary Advisor of the Ministry of Interior Wives Association, visited OTOP City 2025. They encouraged OTOP entrepreneurs at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province. The event was attended by key figures including Ms. Sasithorn Kittithornkul, Deputy Minister of Interior; Ms. Traisuli Traisaranakul, Secretary to the Prime Minister; Mrs. Jinnaratcha Sampantharat, President of the Ministry of Interior Wives Association; Mr. Siam Sirimongkol, Director-General of the Department of Community Development; and Mrs. Orachira Sirimongkol, President of the Community Development Wives Club.
The lively atmosphere attracted both Thai and foreign shoppers, resulting in sales exceeding the target and a cumulative total of 228,002 visitors. This reflects the tangible success in driving the grassroots economy. The Prime Minister thanked the public for supporting OTOP products, stating that each purchase helps generate income, create jobs, and provides encouragement to entrepreneurs in communities across the country.
