Bangkok: The list of outstanding farmers, agricultural philosophers, institutions, and national cooperatives to receive royal recognition at the Royal Ploughing Ceremony 2025 has been unveiled. These exemplary contributors to agriculture will be honored with royal award plaques at the ceremony set for May 9, 2025, at the Sanam Luang Ceremonial Ground.
According to Thai News Agency, spokesman for the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Mr. Ekkapab Polsue, disclosed the selection of Agricultural Sages of the Land in three fields, Outstanding National Farmers in 16 occupational fields, Outstanding National Agricultural Institutions in 12 groups, and Outstanding National Cooperatives in seven cooperatives. The recipients are praised for their significant contributions to various agricultural sectors.
The Agricultural Philosopher of the Nation for 2025 includes Lieutenant Colonel Surachai Boonkhong from Prachin Buri Province for Sufficiency Economy Philosopher, Mr. Suang Khumwichian from Nakhon Pathom Province for Outstanding Agricultural Philosopher, and Mr. Wanna Boonklom from Amnat Charoen Province for Community Leader and Network.
The Outstanding Farmers of the Year 2025 span 16 occupations, including Ms. Kriya Suchaisang from Kalasin Province for rice farming, Mr. Wasan Rueanrom from Rayong Province for gardening, and Mr. Phetthai Taengsopa from Suphan Buri Province for farming, among others.
Outstanding National Farmer Institutions of 2025 consist of 12 groups, such as the Bua Ngam Rice Farmer Group from Ubon Ratchathani Province and the Taling Chan Garden Farmer Group from Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.
The Outstanding National Cooperatives of the Year 2025 feature seven cooperatives, including the Pong Agricultural Cooperative Limited from Phayao Province and the Thepsathit Dairy Cooperative Limited from Chaiyaphum Province.
This recognition underscores the achievements and contributions of individuals and groups within Thailand’s agricultural sector, showcasing their dedication and innovation in advancing the industry.
