Bangkok: "Paetongtarn" visits "Thaksin," awaiting the decision of the committee at the Department of Corrections and the Ministry of Justice regarding parole. Former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, or "Ing," was visited by his youngest daughter, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, at Klong Prem Central Prison. She was accompanied by her husband, Pitak Sukhsawat, and their lawyer, Winyat Chatmontri. Thaksin has been incarcerated for six months and 24 days. Following the 50-minute visit, Ms. Paetongtarn reported that her father was in good health, despite some redness in his eyes.
According to Thai News Agency, the Parole Board at Klong Prem Central Prison has listed Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra among the 10 individuals eligible for general parole. When queried by the media about this development, Ms. Paetongtarn confirmed with a nod, saying, "That's right."
In response to news that Pheu Thai Party councilors have shown dissatisfaction with the party's decision to abandon Bangkok as a political stronghold, Ms. Paetongtarn briefly remarked, "That's a matter for the party."
