Bangkok: Hi, the lead singer of the band Paper Planes, has experienced a personal loss as his beloved grandmother passed away on the night of January 6, 2026. The singer, who had to cancel work commitments suddenly, chose to spend her last moments with her grandchildren.
According to Thai News Agency, fans have reached out with messages of support following the announcement by Genie Records about the passing of Hay - Thanwa Ketsuwann's grandmother. Paper Planes, a band popular among children, is facing the impact of this loss, as Hay's grandmother held a significant place in his life, providing care and encouragement akin to that of a mother. The family is currently making preparations for the funeral to bid their final goodbyes.
Due to this incident, Hay has taken a temporary break from work to attend to the funeral arrangements, including overseeing the cremation ceremony scheduled for January 11, 2026. Consequently, Paper Planes will not perform at the KID'S WORLD event at The Promenade Shopping Mall on that date as initially planned.
