Bangkok: Pavina, leading a delegation of Bangkok MP candidates from the Kla Tham Party, met with the Chulalongkorn University Rector to exchange views on social issues. They highlighted policies to address drug problems and crime, and restore justice to society, before campaigning door-to-door in the Min Buri and Wang Thonglang areas, appealing for votes.
According to Thai News Agency, on January 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM, Ms. Paweena Hongsakul, Chairperson of the Social Advisory Committee of the Kla Tham Party (KT), in her capacity as a candidate for the party's party-list MP, led a team to Min Buri Market to solicit votes for Mr. Jiratth Chaowariyarat (Wang), the party's candidate for Bangkok Constituency 19, number 4 (Min Buri, Saphan Sung). The market vendors and shoppers gave a lively welcome reception. On this occasion, Ms. Paweena and her team also took a shared taxi to pay respects at the Min Buri City Pillar Shrine for good fortune.
At 12:00 PM, Ms. Paweena, along with her team and the candidate for Member of Parliament in Constituency 14, Mr. Sornram Sriboonruang, number 6, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Arun Boonchom, the Chularajmontri (Chief Islamic Religious Leader), at the Chularajmontri's office located within Miftahul Ulumiddini School.
At 1:30 PM, Ms. Paweena, along with Mr. Kongtree Thanakrit Chittrareerat, a candidate for the Kla Tham Party's party-list MP, led a team to the area of ??Soi Ladprao 87 to campaign for Mr. Sorram Sriboonruang, the Kla Tham Party's candidate for Bangkok Constituency 14 (Wang Thonglang, specifically Khlong Chaokhun Sing subdistrict), and to meet with community leaders in the Chantharasuk area. They then greeted residents and distributed leaflets, soliciting votes for the Kla Tham Party for both party-list and constituency MPs in the February 8th election.
Ms. Paweena and the parliamentary candidate visited the Chantrasuk Preschool Development Center, where they spoke with teachers, parents, and young children about life and care at the center. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with the children sitting around and taking photos in a friendly manner. During one segment, Ms. Paweena told the children the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.
Ms. Paweena gave an interview to the media regarding her meeting with Mr. Arun Boonchom, the Chularajmontri (Chief Islamic Religious Leader of Thailand). She stated that she met with the Islamic religious leader to congratulate him on receiving an honorary doctorate from Srinakharinwirot University. She also discussed social issues and key policies of the Kla Tham Party, including policies to address drug problems, such as drug rehabilitation, vocational training, and job creation within a year. The Chularajmontri fully agreed with these policies. Furthermore, they discussed criminal cases, particularly the need for the death penalty for rape and murder. The Chularajmontri also agreed, emphasizing the severity of the crime and the inability of perpetrators to reintegrate into society. This aligns with the Kla Tham Party's policy of promoting justice in society. The Chularajmontri wished her good luck.
Furthermore, Ms. Paweena mentioned her visit to Min Buri market this morning, stating that she received a warm welcome from the people because the Kla Tham Party's parliamentary candidates are locals and have earned the public's trust. She emphasized that the Kla Tham Party has clear policies focused on improving the well-being of the people and is committed to transforming society towards justice. Regarding her visit to the Chantharasuk Child Development Center, which has approximately 60 children, she commended the initiative as parents bring their children to the center while they work. She stressed that this is a key policy of the Kla Tham Party, aiming to establish childcare centers within communities to accommodate the children of local residents. In addition, the Kla Tham Party has policies to address informal debt issues, such as the People's Bank project, which aims to help vulnerable individuals and teachers burdened with debt to improve their quality of life.
