Paveena Trains Candidates on Crucial Social Policies Ahead of Election

Bangkok: "Paveena" has provided intensive training to her parliamentary candidates on five crucial social policies, emphasizing issues such as the death penalty for rape and murder, a comprehensive rehabilitation program for drug users, and the need for clarity in election ballot information to prevent public confusion.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paweena Hongsakul, Chairperson of the Social Affairs Advisory Committee of the Kla Tham Party, led a meeting with candidates from both constituency and proportional representation positions. The session, titled "Intensive Review of Party Social Policies in the Final Stretch of the 2026 Election," aimed to ensure the public's understanding of the party's commitment to addressing social issues through five key policies.

The first policy outlines a year-long rehabilitation program for drug users, including vocational training and job placement, to break the drug cycle. The second policy focuses on establishing vocational training institutions for people with disabilities, providing them opportunities instead of mere pity. The third policy advocates for the death penalty for cases of rape and murder, citing the need for stronger enforcement of existing laws. The fourth policy offers free education for senior citizens to create career opportunities and utilize their experience. The final policy proposes the establishment of childcare centers in workplaces to ensure the safety of children and support working mothers.

Ms. Paweena encouraged candidates to share their experiences and insights from their constituencies, offering solutions and support to strengthen their campaigns. She emphasized the importance of communicating the party's accessible and beneficial policies to the public.

Following the meeting, Ms. Paweena highlighted the urgency of the final stretch before the election, urging candidates to convey the party's tangible solutions for economic and social challenges. She noted the positive response from the public in Bangkok and called for support for the Kla Tham Party as a party committed to addressing social issues.

Ms. Paweena also expressed concern over the confusion surrounding the election ballot papers, urging the Election Commission to enhance public awareness campaigns to ensure voters understand the options available on the three different ballot papers, thereby encouraging maximum voter turnout.
