The PEA emphasizes that such activities pose significant dangers, not only to individuals involved but also to the broader stability of the country's power infrastructure.

According to Thai News Agency, the PEA highlighted the risks associated with illegal electricity usage, Bitcoin mining, and tampering with electricity equipment and meters. These activities are not only potentially life-threatening but also jeopardize the reliability of the national power system. Individuals found guilty of these offenses will be subject to prosecution under both civil and criminal law.

The PEA urges citizens to remain vigilant and report any instances of electricity theft, including unauthorized usage of wires and electrical equipment. Reports can be made to local PEA offices or through the PEA Contact Center at 1129, which operates around the clock.
