According to Thai News Agency, Peggy, a well-known host, recently shared her shock upon receiving a court summons from her ex-lover regarding the division of assets, leaving her emotionally distressed. This legal confrontation has led to public support, with many calling for legal assistance from lawyer Kaew Montchai Jongkrairatnakul. During a press conference held alongside her lawyer, Peggy expressed her determination to fight back and revealed her struggle with anxiety following the breakup.
Peggy explained that she had worked hard to move on from the past relationship, maintaining silence and focusing on her career. However, the unexpected legal action has reopened old wounds, leading her to speak out about her experience. She described the emotional toll it has taken, recounting instances of panic attacks and the pressure she placed on herself to preserve her self-worth.
The legal dispute stems from the ex-lover’s claim for asset division, despite the absence of a formal agreement following their breakup two years ago. Peggy recounted how she had supported her ex-lover and his family financially during their relationship, believing the matter was settled when they parted ways. She expressed frustration over the alleged harassment, which includes threats and attempts to breach her privacy.
Attorney Kaew clarified that the case does not involve marital property, as the couple was never legally married. The lawsuit focuses on joint earnings, with the need for evidence to support claims. Kaew emphasized the distinction between joint earnings and employment, as the ex-lover was reportedly receiving a salary from Peggy’s company.
Kaew revealed plans to contest the lawsuit vigorously, including addressing allegations of data theft and hacking. The legal team aims to file counterclaims and explore criminal charges for any wrongdoing. With the court summons in hand, they have 30 days to prepare a response.
The complex case involves detailed claims of property, including gold and other valuables. Peggy and her legal team are determined to defend her interests and challenge the basis of the lawsuit. Although the outcome remains uncertain, Peggy is resolved to pursue justice, and her lawyer is committed to exploring all legal avenues to protect her rights.
