Pheu Thai Party Yet to Finalize Prime Ministerial Candidate, Chulaphan Clarifies

Bangkok: Chulaphan Amornvivat, leader of the Pheu Thai Party, has reiterated that the party has not yet decided on its candidate for the prime ministerial position. Chulaphan denied reports suggesting that Suriya Jungrungreangkit, along with Natthaphong Kunakornwong and Yotsanan Wongsawat from the Shinawatra family, had been selected as candidates.

According to Thai News Agency, Chulaphan emphasized that the matter is still under consideration, and no official decision has been made regarding the selection of individuals for the prime ministerial role. The names that have circulated in the media-Suriya, the party’s election director, and Natthaphong and Yotsanan, who are associated with the Shinawatra family-are not final.

Chulaphan confirmed that the news is not true, and the Pheu Thai Party is still in the process of reviewing potential candidates. The party has not yet confirmed any names, and discussions are ongoing to determine the most suitable individuals for the position.
