Khao yai: Heavy rain lashed Khao Yai, and CCTV footage captured a pickup truck veering off course and plunging into a canal. The driver crawled to safety, climbed ashore, and walked into the pouring rain seeking help.

According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage from a laundry shop in Moo Si Subdistrict, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, captured an accident last night. A white Mitsubishi pickup truck lost control and plunged into a canal beside Thanarat Road amidst heavy rain.

Investigations revealed that the driver, a man approximately 40 years old, sustained minor injuries. He was able to crawl out of the vehicle, climb out of the canal, and walk along the road seeking help from villagers. Because of the heavy rain and poor visibility at the time of the incident, no one witnessed the vehicle falling into the canal. Later, a good Samaritan driving by the area called the Mu Si Subdistrict Municipality rescue team to come and assist.

Ms. Sasikarn Ruamklang, owner of P'Tuk Laundry and Dry Cleaning shop, revealed that it was raining heavily at the time of the incident. She noticed a car veering off course and plunging into the canal in front of her shop. She then saw the driver trying to crawl out of the car and climb out of the canal to seek help from passersby. A good Samaritan driving by saw what happened and alerted rescue workers, who safely rescued the driver.
