Kuala lumpur: "Pipat" has called upon the residents of Nakhon Si Thammarat to grant him and his party, the Bhumjaithai Party, another chance in the upcoming election, promising tangible benefits or urging them not to vote for him again if he fails to deliver.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, Southern Regional Commander of the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed a rally in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Although hailing from Hat Yai, Songkhla province, Pipat acknowledged his limited fluency in the Southern dialect but expressed gratitude for the trust shown by the people of Nakhon Si Thammarat in the 2023 election, where the party secured victories in Constituencies 7 and 8. He emphasized that this success reflects the party's capability to elect representatives who can benefit the province's residents and appealed for similar support in the upcoming February 8th election.
Mr. Pipat highlighted the importance of detailed development plans for Nakhon Si Thammarat, drawing on his past experience as Minister of Tourism and Sports and his current role overseeing the Ministry of Transport. He remarked on the South's historical neglect in infrastructure development, stressing the need for progress.
He urged the citizens to support the Bhumjaithai Party across all nine constituencies on February 8th, promising visible improvements should his party gain representation. He boldly stated that if the party fails to deliver, it should not expect support in future elections.
Mr. Pipat also mentioned his plans to consult with Mr. Anutin, should he be re-elected as Prime Minister, about development strategies for the southern provinces, particularly Nakhon Si Thammarat. He praised the province's natural beauty and rich culinary heritage, suggesting these as focal points for boosting tourism. Infrastructure improvements were also on his agenda, with plans to enhance transportation safety and convenience, including road expansions and a double-track railway line extending from Bangkok to Malaysia. Discussions with the State Railway of Thailand have already been initiated to shift freight transport from road to rail.
