Poh Teck Tung Foundation Allocates Over 15.6 Million Baht for Children’s Day Gifts

Bangkok: The Poh Teck Tung Foundation has announced an allocation of more than 15.6 million baht to provide gifts for children in celebration of National Children's Day 2026. This initiative aims to spread love and inspiration among the youth nationwide.

According to Thai News Agency, the foundation, under the leadership of Mr. Sak Korsangruang, Vice Chairman of the Board, and other key members including Mr. Wichit Chinwongworakul, Mr. Wirun Techapaiboon, and Mrs. Sirikul Opasawong, organized a ceremony for distributing Children's Day gift sets. The gifts included notebooks, pencils, rulers, pens, and pencil cases, which were distributed to students in Bangkok and nearby regions. School representatives collected these gifts at the foundation's headquarters in Plapplachai, Bangkok. The foundation also coordinated the distribution of these gift sets to children in regional areas through various agencies as a gesture of encouragement for National Children's Day 2026.

The total number of gift sets distributed reached 850,000, valued at over 15.6 million baht. Mr. Sak Korsangruang highlighted that this tradition of giving gifts on Children's Day has been a consistent activity of the foundation for 67 years, since its inception in 1959. The aim is to share love and happiness, enhance learning, and nurture children to become valuable members of society. The foundation also conveyed a message to children to embody virtues, gratitude, thriftiness, and diligence, aligning with the Prime Minister's Children's Day motto for 2026: "Love Thailand, Care for the World."

With a history spanning 116 years, the Poh Teck Tung Foundation has significantly expanded its projects, focusing on alleviating suffering, promoting well-being, and enhancing quality of life across various sectors, including education. It strives to be a comprehensive charitable organization that supports individuals in all aspects of life.
