Saraburi: Police from the Crime Suppression Division escorted "Sami Choti" and "Sika Ae" from the detention cell to be remanded in custody at the Central Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Cases, Region 1, Saraburi Province. They also opposed bail due to the enormous financial damages involved in the case.

According to Thai News Agency, the Crime Suppression Division police escorted Mr. Atichot, the former abbot of Wat Phutthaisawan in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, and Ms. Punyavee from the detention cell at the Crime Suppression Division's complaint center to be remanded in custody at the Central Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct, Region 1, in Saraburi province. They are charged with embezzlement by a public official, neglect of duty by a public official, and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

Reporters attempted to question the two individuals, but they refused to answer and immediately got into a car with their heads down. The police opposed bail in the detention request, citing the enormous financial damages involved and concerns that the suspects might flee or interfere with evidence.
