Yasothon: The Anti-Trafficking Division of the Royal Thai Police, working alongside the Department of Social Development, conducted a raid on a karaoke bar in Yasothon Province suspected of being involved in child prostitution. The operation led to the rescue of three female victims of human trafficking, the youngest of whom is 15 years old. The bar owner was arrested and now faces multiple charges.
According to Thai News Agency, the Anti-Human Trafficking Division collaborated with the Yasothon Provincial Department of Social Development and Labor to raid the establishment located in the Kut Chum District. The bar was allegedly part of a prostitution ring, exploiting young women and sharing in the profits from their forced services. The owner, identified as 20-year-old Ms. Kochakorn, was apprehended and charged with human trafficking and the abduction of minors. Despite being questioned, she continues to deny the allegations.
The three rescued victims have been placed under protection and are undergoing rehabilitation. The authorities are committed to providing support and ensuring their safety as investigations continue into the operations of the bar and any additional parties involved in the illegal activities.
