Bangkok: Police rescued a 6-year-old child from a drug-addicted cafe. Pol. Maj. Gen. Teeradet Thamsuthee, Deputy Commander of the Bangkok Metropolitan Police, spearheaded a raid to rescue a young boy from a rented house in Soi Suwannadee 3, Bang Sue district. This action followed complaints about the premises being used as a drug cafe and concerns about the child's welfare. During the raid, eight individuals were discovered inside, including the boy's mother, a nanny, and five drug customers. Authorities confiscated a variety of drugs, including methamphetamine pills, crystal meth, ketamine, and other drug paraphernalia.

According to Thai News Agency, the child's mother initially refuted the allegations, asserting that she did not operate a drug-fueled cafe. She claimed to have just returned home with her child and denied involving the child in serving customers. She mentioned that her boyfriend, who is also the child's stepfather, resided elsewhere, and they had only recently started their relationship. However, further investigation into the mother's background revealed four prior convictions related to drug use, possession, and trafficking. The stepfather also possesses a substantial record of drug-related offenses. Authorities are currently in pursuit of both individuals.
