Chiang mai: Mr. Yotsanu Wongsawat, the Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate, visited the bustling morning market in Saraphi district, where he was warmly welcomed by vendors with garlands of pork cracklings. He pledged to prioritize clean air and enhance farmers' livelihoods as part of his plan to rejuvenate Chiang Mai.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Yotsanu, accompanied by Dr. Phetthai Tesolarn, the candidate for Member of Parliament in Chiang Mai Constituency 2, and their team, engaged with both vendors and shoppers at the Sukhaphiban (Yang Neung) market. The event was characterized by a lively atmosphere, with vendors presenting marigold and pork rind garlands to Mr. Yotsanu. The candidate shared his plans to improve transportation, implement water management solutions, dredge the Ping River, and enhance road infrastructure and tourism.
Mr. Yotsanu stressed the significance of agricultural products, with a special focus on longan, and expressed his vision for Chiang Mai to become an attractive destination. He highlighted the ongoing efforts to implement the Clean Air Management Act, led by Pheu Thai Party MPs, and asked for public support to bring about positive change starting from Chiang Mai.
After the market visit, Mr. Yotchanan and his group enjoyed breakfast and traditional coffee at a rice porridge shop in front of the Saraphi District Office. Later, the Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidates, including Mr. Julapan Amornvivat and Mr. Suriya Jungrungruangkit, planned to continue their campaign in the Lamphun and Chiang Mai provinces.
