Surin: Prasat Surin Hospital has closed all departments due to escalating border unrest, offering only emergency services to patients. The ongoing clashes on the Thai-Cambodian border, which have intensified since December 7th, have disrupted peace in the area. This situation has compelled local residents to seek refuge in temporary shelters, while government agencies and schools have been forced to shut down.
According to Thai News Agency, on December 8, 2015, Prasat Hospital in Surin Province made an announcement addressing the situation. The hospital stated, “Due to the unrest in the border area, Prasat Hospital is closed in all departments and will accept only emergency patients.” This temporary measure will remain in effect from December 8 until conditions stabilize.
