Bangkok: The Prime Minister congratulated Sophon on becoming Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Mallika and Lertsak on becoming the first and second deputy speakers, respectively.

According to Thai News Agency, at 9:00 AM on March 16th, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul posted a message on Facebook extending his congratulations to Mr. Sophon Saram, MP for Buriram from the Bhumjaithai Party, on his appointment as the 35th Speaker of the House of Representatives. He also congratulated Ms. Mallika Chiraphanvanich and Mr. Lertsak Pattanachaikul on their appointments as First Deputy Speaker and Second Deputy Speaker, respectively. The message expressed: "Congratulations to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and both Deputy Speakers."
