Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul Inspects Fire-Damaged Ammunition Depot

Bangkok: The Prime Minister inspected the site of a fire at Border Patrol Police Unit 21, checking the remains of an ammunition depot after the fire reignited. He emphasized that officials had cleared the area of unexploded ordnance and ordered a report on the damage.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and his delegation visited the ammunition depot of the Border Patrol Police Division 21 today at 5:40 PM to assess the damage caused by a fire that broke out on February 24, 2026. The visit aimed to ensure that all necessary safety measures were in place following the incident.

Upon arrival, Mr. Anutin and his team were escorted by officers from Border Patrol Police Unit 21 and an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team. The officials provided updates indicating that the area had been thoroughly cleared of any remaining unexploded ordnance. Despite the clearance, traces of burning and debris were still evident at the site, highlighting the fire's intensity and its impact on the depot's infrastructure.
