Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul Visits Narathiwat Amid Heated Controversy

Narathiwat: The Prime Minister arrived in Narathiwat, where the Commander of the 4th Army Region was waiting to welcome him after a heated controversy, before delivering policy directives at the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPC).

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, along with his delegation, arrived at Narathiwat Airport. They were greeted by Mr. Boonchuey Homyamyen, Governor of Narathiwat Province; Lieutenant General Norathip Poynok, Commander of the 4th Army Region; Police General Samran Nualma, Deputy Commissioner General of the Royal Thai Police; and Mr. Piyasiri Wattanavarangkul, Secretary-General of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC). The Prime Minister cordially greeted and embraced Lieutenant General Norathip.

Mr. Boonchuey and Lt. Gen. Norathip reported the situation in the area to the Prime Minister before the Prime Minister, in his capacity as Commander of the Volunteer Defense Corps (VDC), inspected the VDC troops who were providing security during his official visit. Afterward, the Prime Minister and his delegation boarded a helicopter to the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPC) to deliver policy directives on resolving the problems in the southern border provinces according to government policy and to inspect operational activities.
