According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul shared insights in an interview prior to his departure for Cebu, Philippines, where he is set to attend the 48th ASEAN Summit from May 7-9. He articulated his expectations for the summit, emphasizing the necessity for outcomes that benefit Thailand. Mr. Anutin made it clear that his participation is strictly professional, aiming to present Thailand's position on various issues to the ASEAN community.
Mr. Anutin addressed the anticipation surrounding a potential meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet. While confirming the possibility of meeting, he noted that it would not be a private discussion, as the Philippines, holding the ASEAN chair, would likely orchestrate the engagement.
