Prime Minister Clarifies No Oil Purchase Talks with Australian Ambassador

Bangkok: The Prime Minister confirmed that his discussion with the Australian ambassador did not concern the purchase of oil.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister confirmed that he did not discuss the purchase of oil as reported in the news. He also held discussions with the Australian ambassador to Thailand regarding issues of powdered milk imports, trade, investment, and the current situation.

Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul posted on Facebook revealing that he welcomed Australian Ambassador to Thailand, Angela Jane McDonald, at Government House. During a lunch meeting, they discussed the current situation, trade, investment, and ways to resolve issues regarding the import of powdered milk under the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Australia and Thailand.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also confirmed that there had been no discussions about purchasing oil, as reported in local media.
